Aeroporto Santos Dumont (SDU) - local

airport, near the city center.

Foreign travelers:

There are direct flights from many foreign destinations into Galeão, the international airport of Rio de Janeiro. However, if you are arriving in São Paulo, you should book a connecting flight from São Paulo to Aeroporto Santos Dumont (SDU), which is the local airport, close to the center. Do not book a flight from São Paulo into Galeão, which is the international airport, far from the center.

After landing, you can take a taxi, use Uber, or book a transfer service in advance.
